We are preparing young women to become leaders in their communities, and recognizing and encouraging successful women who are already making a difference.
Each delegate will receive a gorgeous customized sash with her title "Miss Miami, Miss Phoenix, Pre-Teen Richmond etc" and a tiara!  Each delegate will compete for her state title "Miss Virginia" etc, and then for the America's Leading Edge Teen, Pre-Teen, or America's Leading Edge Woman national title!
Apply today!
**Beginning Jan 1, 2012, we will no longer be printing first names on the hips of sashes. We've had several delegates asking us to reprint because they did not specify which name they wanted on the sash (first or nickname) upon application, and we also have some delegates with very beautiful longer names that just don't fit well on the hip of the sash without them looking cluttered.**

There is absolutely NO travel required !

City Title Holder Information

-Every city AND COUNTY  in each state can be represented. Participant may represent any city where she lives, works,
attends school, church, spends significant time, or has extended family. This requirement is the same for the state level as well. Participants who are in military families can represent their home city/state as well, or any state/city where significant time is spent or where she has extended family.

-A participant must hold a city title to compete in the state competition and a state title to compete in the national pageant.

-Participants are not required to advance to the state level or the national level of the competition if they choose not to, these are seperate competitions.  There are no application fees for any levels but to accept a title a sash purchase is required for appearances as a delegate.

-State competitions will be held the 1st weekend in June. Nationals will be the first weekend in March.  Cities and or states that do not yet have a local title holder may continue to be filled throughout the year by the National Director/Assistant National Director.

-Some applicants may win by default if there is no other applicant for that division in THAT city or state, we do NOT release information pertaining to the number of applicants in any division

- When there is a competition, more than one interest in a particular state or national title, judges will be 3 independent individuals chosen  by My Girl. Each will judge a contestant based on the criteria required for her division. All judges decisions are final. If there is more than one interest for a city/county title, a delegate will be chosen ( by the National Director/Assistant National Director) based on information provided on submittted applications.

-Toddler Miss and above city title holders must be a city title holder for at least 2 months to compete in the state competition. Those chosen within 2 months of the state competition will be eligible to compete in the state competition the following year. Baby Miss Division city title holders need only be a city title holder for a month before applying for the state competition.

-A city title holder may chose to apply for a different age division at the state/national level. For example a Toddler Miss Division city delegate may apply for the Tiny Miss state title, or another example a Miss Division city delegate who marrys within her reign, may apply for the Mrs. state title. However EVERY state applicant must be a current My Girl city title holder.

- City Queens who move during the year may compete for either their current state title or previous state title.

-Platform choice must meet approval of the National and or Assistant National Director.

-Participants MUST be born female.

-To accept any My Girl title,  an official My Girl appearance sash must be purchased at time of  each acceptance.  Tiaras are not requied to be worn or purchases for appearances. However only official tiaras purchased through My Girl U.S.A. may be worn with our sashes.  ANY My Girl U.S.A. tiara can be worn with ANY My Girl U.S.A. sash.

-State/National title holders may be selected on an "at large" basis, by the National and/or Assistant National Director if a title is left unfilled after competition.
